Belianska cave - Slovakia

Is situated above the Tatranska Valley, in the eastern part of Belianske Tatras, in the national park of Belianske Tatras, in the area of the Tatra National Park.
It is created from mid-Triassic limestone by corrosion and erosion of water from melting snow and ice, or from strong rain. The measured length of the cave is 2350 m. The most admirable are sintric waterfalls, pagoda shaped stalagmites and several ponds. There are also many forms of rich sintric decorations.
Part of the cave had already been made accessible in 1896.

Area and access to the cave Forest path to Belianska Cave passes from the village of Tatranska Kotlina, a few kilometres north east of Tatranska Lomnica. Entry to the cave is at an altitude of 890m above sea level. There is an educational path leading to the cave with a length of 1000m which climbs 122m. The climb lasts approximately 25 minutes.
