The manor is from the 18th Century and was built on the foundations of an older Renaissance manor. Stefan Andrassy ordered it to be built as a multi-storey, fortified manor with four corner towers. Further rebuilding is also connected to the Andrassy family, which was then its permanent owner and who also owned the castle Krasna Horka and properties and mines in the Roznava area. After older Classicist rebuilding and extension of the southern section and the front, larger pseudo-style reconstruction with extension to the second floor took place and gave the manor the appearance of a French hunting-style building. The Andrassy family filled the castle with rare furniture, artistic pieces and collections.
Apart from the large and preserved original library, the majority of the collections are paintings, mainly paintings of Realists from the 19th Century. The second part of the collection is formed of exotic items and hunting trophies which are not as valuable as the art collections.
The park is decorated with ponds and rare exotic trees and the remains of an ancient yew forest.
