National cultural site, large preserved castle situated on quartzite rock above the village of Pila, clearly visible, mainly from a distance. Tourists often stop here to look at this cultural monument as it is close to Piestany Spa, not far from Leopoldov.

Originally, there was a king's castle, the first written note of which is from the mid-13th Century. It belonged to the system of Medievel border castles which were created from the 13th Century to protect the western borders of Ungria.
Until the 16th Century, there was an older Medieval castle established by the widow of King Premysl Otakar I. The castle was part of the inner line of the protective fortress system of the Ungrian kingdom.

The exhibition in the castle includes collections of historic furniture, paintings, weapons, porcelain, ceramics, rich stucco and fresca decorations in the interior. . Part of the castle is also an area of the castle chapel, pharmacy, library and knight's hall.

In the area of the castle, there is a Falconry yard "Astur", where from 1 April - 31 October, presentations of the flying skills of birds of prey take place.

The excellent wines of the Malo Carpathia vineyard region can be tasted in the Castle Vinoteque, situated under the castle bridge in one of the small towers of the former fortifications.
It is possible to obtain refreshments directly in the Castle Libresse or next to the entrance, in restaurant "Taverna under the Tower". You will also find shops with gingerbread, souvenirs and antiques.

Riding on saddled ponies, horses and in carriages around the historic park under the castle is another attraction.
