Demanovska Cave is the longest cave system in Slovakia. The length of the cave is 8126m. The rich sintric contents include unique sintric water lilies and other lake forms and eccentric stalagtites. The most attractive are large sintric waterfalls and stalagnates, spherolitic stalagtites and many other forms of stalagtites and stalagmites. It was discovered by dry dives of Demanovka in 1921. Part of the cave became accessible in 1924, the upper parts have been in operation since 1933.

Position and access to the cave The cave is situated on the right hand side of the Demanovska Valley in the area of the Low Tatras National Park. The entrance to the cave is at an altitude of 870m. The cave lies 13km south of Liptovsky Mikulas, a few kilometres below the well known Jasna ski centre. The path from the car park to the cave is approximately 400m long, with an altitude of 67m. The walk to the cave takes 10 - 15 min.
