Under Lubovna Castle, there is Lubovna open air museum with exhibitions of folk architecture of the Spis and Saris regions. The most valuable feature is the wooden Greek Catholic church of St. Michael Archangel from Matysova from 1883.
The exhibition is mainly formed of wooden residential houses from the start of the 20th Century. The interiors of the residential houses respect the way of life and family conditions. The selection of exhibits is wide and, apart from items of everyday use, we can also find production tools of various crafts: tinker, shoemaker, cooper, weaver, carpenter.
The exhibits of folk customs are installed in these houses: birth, wedding, Christmas and Easter.
Other objects which can be found there are outbuildings (barns, stables, granaries, wells) and technical buildings (blacksmith's forge, mill and carpentry workshop).
During the summer season, a natural amphitheatre in the open air museum holds presentations of folklore groups. During creation of the exhibition of folk living in the individual residential houses, the principle of traditional housing was respected, which remained in this area until the mid-20th Century. A tour of the open air museum lasts 45 minutes.
