Bükfürdő is the youngest spa town in Hungary and belongs among the most visited with its healing springs, which achieve the temperature of 56°C. Despite its young age, the spa Bükfürdő is growing fast. Bükfürdő, which lies in the north-western Hungary, 220 km far from Budapest, near to the Austrian border, is very frequented and desired place for relax and recreation for visitors not only from neighbouring states.

Springs are suitable for people suffering from disorders of the back, movement apparatus, gynaecological and rheumatic problems. Drinking treatment with healing water from the springs is interesting. It is recommended in case of stomach and gynaecological problems or as prevention.
However, Bükfürdő is also an ideal place for family recreation, network of hotels offers a wide range of services: from treatment programs, through sport up to leisure time activities. The most important part of each hotel are pools with thermal water. There is a total of 26 pools with area of 5000 m2.

About the Thermal Water
Today, Bükfürdő is one of the most important health resorts in Western Hungary. The medicinal water emerges from a depth of 1282 m with a temperature of 56oC. It belongs to the group of thermal waters but, because of its salt content, it also belongs to the group of alkaline calcareous, hydro-carbonic waters. With its free carbonic acid content above 1000 mg, it also meets the internationally established criteria for carbonic acid springs.
