Medical Spa Heviz

Hévíz is the most significant spa center of Hungary. It is world wide famous through the thermal lake, which is unique.
The healing lake with a peat bottom is 4.4 ha large and it is the largest warm-water lake in the world. It is surrounded by a 50 ha large protective forest. The water is heated through geothermal energy.

The water temperature reached 30-35°C in summer, and it never falls under 22°C, nor in winter. The healing water has beneficial effects to the locomotive apparatus. The healing effects of the water, which was tenth millenniums of years ago discovered, was known in the Roman time.
