Medical Spa Mezőkövesd
The town Mezőkövesd is situated in north-eastern Hungary, at the road No. E71, which leads from Budapest to Miskolc. Spa has been founded by Lajos Szentléleki Zsóry, household head in Mezőkövesde, later member of parliament. He had made oil boring on his own land in the year 1938. They did not find oil, but on 25 February 1939 hot water from water reservoir from Trias period has started to spring from the depth of 875 m to 30 m height. What concerns its healing effect, this water is not only one of the most valuable in Hungary, but it is significant within the whole Europe.  Read more
