 Hungarian cuisine

In Hungarian cuisine there is used a lot of lard and goose-fat, acid cream and very popular are slaughter dishes.
The world-famous speciality is also goose-liver.
There is little used fresh vegetable. On the other side, rich are used seasonal fruits. Lovers of sweets come into one´s own. Hungarians gave to the world the Dobosh cuts, Eszterhazy cake, or Somloi noodles.
The most famous Hungarian speciality worldwide is goulash, which is originally meat-soup with a lot of onion, potatoes and vegetable, it was cooked sometime by shepherds in a kettle on an open fire. A meal similar to goulash, but thickened with less snap and also with mushrooms, is pörkelt. If it is softened with acid cream and more paprika is put in, we get paprikas, and if instead paprika pepper is used, we get Tokany. Generally we can say, that the Hungarian cuisine is very tasteful and a little bit savoury.
