Patince belongs to warm climate area with characteristic mild intensity of temperatures.The are of Patince municipality is situated in the south-eastern part of the Danube Basin, in the altitude of approximately 105 to 110 metres above sea level. Patince is the southernmost municipality in Slovakia. It is situated 15 km to the east from Komárno (direction Štúrovo), near to the Danube river.
Patince belongs to warm climate area with characteristic mild intensity of temperatures. Winters in the area are of warmer and dryer nature, with longer sunshine - in the vegetation period above 1500 hours.
The recreational complex, situated approximately 2 km from the municipality Patince, has been attracting with its thermal swimming pool, recreational, hiking and cycling opportunities in the surrounding nature wide public from Slovakia as well as from abroad.
There are three mineral springs in the proximity of the municipality, which have a high content of hydrocarbons, calcium, magnesium and sulphates. The thermal spring emerging from the ground in the complex has the temperature 27 °C and has favourable impact on the movement apparatus and its diseases. The Patince mineral spring and its surroundings with the acreage of 0.5 ha has been declared in 1953 a protected area. Read more Hide |
