Spišská Stará Ves is a town in the north of the Spiš region. It is the third smallest town in Slovakia. It is situated between Spišská Magura and border river Dunajec. The border with Poland leads along the western side. The national park Pieniny is on the eastern side. The town is the centre of Zamagurie, which consists of 19 cadastral areas. Interesting attraction is rafting the river Dunajec on traditional Goral wooden rafts.
