Medical Spa Lasko

Slovenian thermal spa Laško can be found in the Southern Steiermark, at the Posanje foothills, surrounded by the river Savinja. History of discovery of mineral springs tells the story about utilization of healing power by local inhabitants, about occasional bathing in the thermal water. Healing effects of springs fascinated also Roman legionaries, missionaries from the Middle Ages or the famous emperor Ferdinand Joseph I., after whom three mineral springs are named. It is rumoured that Ferdinand was suffering cruel, almost unbearable pains and it was the thermal water hidden in the dolomite lime area which relieved all his pains.
