Local inhabitants are deservedly proud of their history and culture, what is proven by various expositions and interesting project Vodovnik’s collection, which is organized in memory of an excellent folk singer and poet, Jiří Vodovník, originally from the village Zreče. Vodovnik’s collection is a symbol of building the national pride and increase of tourism.The thermal spa Zreče is situated in the eastern part of Slovenia in the locality Pohorje. The village Zreče has indeed a rich history reaching the ancient Stone Age, from which there are unique archaeological findings, clay sculptures and vessels, metal tools, pottery.

Vodovnik’s collection is a symbol of building the national pride and increase of tourism. Visitors can be attracted for example by cultural events under the name „Vodovnik rok“, traditional literary evenings, where many participants are tourists from many corners of the world. Week of old crafts and traditions, artistic creations of forgers, glassmakers, woodcutters, as well as the agricultural harvest belong to favourite cultural and social events.
Apart from very rich program of cultural events, the village Zreč is known for its thermal spa, which currently belong among the biggest centres in Slovenia. Treatment procedures based on the principle of healing effects of thermal water with temperature of 34,5° C specialize in rheumatic diseases, diseases of circulation system and movement apparatus. Up to five thermal pools with massage currents, whirlpool, Turkish, Finnish and infrared sauna, solarium, fitness or aqua aerobic will offer you a perfect relax, whether active or passive.
Old mills, silent flow of the river, extensive wine yards, typical image of country life crosses the modern industry, rush of railway lines and flowering ski centre.
