Functional capacity rehabilitation diagnostics is designed to make special evaluations of the functional capacities of the motoric system, e.g.:
- muscle test and goniomentry of extremities
- walking test, diagnostics of neurological, motoric and communication capacities
- capacity testing of spine, test of the hand, capacity index of patient's self-sufficiency
- some further specialised tests (Parkinson's disease, paralysis of facial nerve, etc.).
This diagnostics registers the status of tested capacities in the beginning of patient's stay and their subsequent change throughout the course of balneo-rehabilitational course.
It is subject to the doctor's prescription, and is used mainly in case of more complicated diseases of the motoric organs, performing mainly the purpose of impartial examination of a changed health status of patients.
The diagnostics should be carried out by a professional physiotherapeutist (rehabilitation worker) as the follow up of the procedure called individual therapeutic/remedial gymnastics.
