TENS curents
TENS – transcutaneous electric electro-neuro-stimulation – uses the principle that the perception of pain and conducted pain impulses could be mitigated through stimulation of nerves on different levels of the nerve system.
Used impulses differ in their shape (symmetrically or asymmetrically biphasic, biphasic-alternating), they are very short (0.01 – 0.75 ms).
They are applied as TENS continual, or TENS-burst in bursts, or TENS-surge in waves.
This treatment is indicated mostly for conditions requiring reduction of pain (spine diseases, headaches, posttraumatic pain, and many others).TENS – transcutaneous electric electro-neuro-stimulation – uses the principle that the perception of pain and conducted pain impulses could be mitigated through stimulation of nerves on different levels of the nerve system.
