Classical massage

Hand application of directed stimuli, so-called tactions, which include not only kneading actions (friction, rubbing and kneading) but also bumping (tapping and vibrating).
The massage supports emptying of surface veins, lymphatic vessels, secretion of sweat glands, normalization of skin tension, livening up of the massaged area and edema absorption; it also relaxes or tones the muscles (depending on the direction of the tactions), improves tissue nutrition and relieves pain. It improves the circulation, brings fresh oxygen into body tissues, which helps to get rid of the waste products, improves the treatment after injuries and helps the body to recover. According to the research, the massage also regulates biochemical level of the body and makes the healing faster.
Reflexively and thanks to livening up of the muscles, the massage influences also other organs and has an overall effect on the body. These effects can be soothing ( if the massage proceeds from the heart to the extremities) or stimulating (if the massage starts with the extremities and proceeds to the heart).
The massage uses local massage substances, most often water and soft soap, or massage emulsions, oils or suitable creams.
Classic massage can be partial (back, neck, etc., duration is ca. 20-30 minutes) or the whole body massage ( duration ca. 40-60 minutes).
Indications: the necessity to relieve stiff muscles, painful contractions, shortened muscles and tissues), the massage is suitable as a preparation for therapeutic physical training, etc.
Contraindications: conditions after the abdominal and thoracic surgeries, lower extremity varices, serious dermahaemia conditions and bleeding states. The patients with spinal disorders, especially those having problems with cervical or coxal spines, should consult the suitability of the classic massage with their doctor.
The massage can be subscribed by a doctor (who indicates the exact place of the massage application), but it is also possible to be purchased freely.
