The water temperature is 38°- 39°C. The patient is in water reaching his arms, or he is sitting on the edge of the pool. Patients are under the doctor´s supervision during the bath. The whole effect is relaxing and comforting, the blood pressure and pulse frequency go down. The bathing in the mirror pool and its duration depends on the doctor´s prescription, it usually takes 10 - 20 minutes and is followed by the whole body dry wrap lasting for ca. 10 - 15 minutes. Some mirror pools have lower water temperature of ca 37°C. In this form it is a free purchased procedure (known as a public bath).
