Ozone therapy

Ozone therapy represents one of the posibilities of injection therapy. It uses so called "medical ozone", i.e. a mixture of ozone and oxygen, in the precisely specified concentration and volume. The ozone therapy makes use of the therapeutic effects of the ozone-oxygen mixture in common concentrations of 10-30 ug/ml.
The effects of ozone on various components of radicular pain:
After applying, the ozone affects both damaged intervertebral plate and damaged nerve stem. The water is released from the core of the plate and this way its volume is reduced, which reduces also the pressure on the nerve stem. Moreover, ozone has also analgetical, anti-inflammatory and andi-edema effects on the nerve stem, which leads to immidiate pain reduction.
